Haha... finally i am going to Europe!
I will be on my way to Germany right after Chinese New Year. Can't wait and yet felt a little bit heavy to leave my lovely wife and and baby girl.
Will be there for bout at least 3.5 to 8 weeks, plan to go a little bit Europe tour. If time allow i think i will go Paris, Czech, Berlin, Munich, and maybe Venice...hahaha....felt like going on tour than to work.
Actually i m on a mission to Germany to learn a new process for my newly joined company - Q-cells.

Q-CELLS GERMANY

It's been 2 weeks i started to work at Q-CELLS Cyberjaya. Though the wake up at 6am every morning is a little bit torturing, but i feel great to work at Q-CELLS. As usual, there are the norm orientation day that we call Q-Day. It not only introduce the company, but also they took the opportunity to bring in some inter cultural professional from Germany to introduce the culture of "Germanian" to us. As we are going to work closely with the German, so to minimized cultural shock, we had this intensive class to understand their nature and to live with them.
After the class, i think the most different thing between Malaysian and the German is the way of communications. They talk directly. They do not have like "Udang di sebalik batu" thing. If they like it they will tell u they like it, if not they will comment on the idea directly. There are no "loose face" issue rather than to actually discuss on the topic itself. So, in short, if ur boss said u had a very bad idea, it does not affect on your overall performance coz the action is yet to be done, no harm yet.
What i actually like is the company will go to this extend just to make the newly hired felt a little bit more like home and welcome. This is very important to me.
So, lets hope me and Q-cells will get more well in the future.

My VSS...

Finally...it's done! I'd waited long enough to write the blog though the feels are different now..but i guess i still wants to recorded it down...someway...haha.
I decided to took the VSS (Oct08) when company offer the scheme..at the same time i already had two choice of future route waiting for me...I got an offer from a Germany company and i can op to help my father up by giving him a hand at his business.....(ya right...!!! If u get what i meant...)
I left the company bcoz i can't stand my boss. Not really going into the details...but those who had work with him will know why...
I intended to resign but who knows i was lucky to bump into the VSS. So many of them envy me...hahaha.. but what can i said...mere luck.
I tender my VSS application right after the second week of the announcement.. and guess what happen after that??
Ha! Despite my six years service i gave them...i was ask to leave on 7thNov at 4:45pm. HAHAHA! i dun even have time to wish everyone i know "Good Bye" no time to gather my thing properly...
But somehow an angel is with me...all the while when i'd decided to leave after bonus i'd been preparing all the neccessary things to be gathered and bring back...of corse not the secrets of company (there is none either...) but my own personal thing...like training manuals...my books...my belongings... hey! 6 years is no short period... i'd been keeping a lot of personal thing at company..i m an engineer...so company is my second home ma....right?!
In this case i dun loose a lot...but it didn't feel great to be frank.. VSS is not so much different from resignation what... accept for the $$.. If one resign, they can be still have one month notice... n coleagues will do some farewell party...farewell gift....but all these is skip for my case...it felt "LOW"....
HA! and the worst feel is when my so call Boss said he don't know anything bout this...
Dun he know, i know HR had beed asking the bosses who to release on which date they prefer and who not to release?? I know not only 1 manager ma...this is low...n this shows how appreciated i m at the company...
BTW, i m the only 1 out of 3 engineers left...we had like 12~13 last time...
I hope my "NEW" boss will not be this way...hahaha! (CROSS MY FINGER HARD HARD!!!)
